The Paramount has been an institution in the Beacon Hill neighborhood for years. Now, with the recent opening of its second restaurant in South Boston, owner Michael Conlon is excited to bring his restaurant’s flavor to East Broadway.

“It’s great to be in this neighborhood, it’s a really exciting location,” said Conlon. “Everyone coming in has seemed like they are really enjoying the place.”

Although Conlon said the new location will have a similar menu to its sister restaurant in Beacon Hill, he said the South Boston location will start offering breakfast-oriented cocktails, such as their special Bloody Marys and screwdrivers.

“Maybe in the summer we will start offering specialty cocktails, but at this time we are just going to stick with what works and what sells,” said Conlon.

Though food may be his passion Conlon couldn’t contain the excitement he had for the new location and the neighborhood that surrounds it.

“We use to have people from South Boston come into our Beacon Hill location all the time asking when we’d open up in South Boston. So we sat down and thought that there really could be a market for a place like the Paramount in South Boston,” said Colon.

The Paramount is located at 667 East Broadway.
