The response for our upcoming Havana Night on Wednesday June 26th has been very good! Many of the reservations made are for couples. In celebration of the night, we put together a list of the top three most famous kisses that took place in Havana. If you can think of any others, add your own in the comments below!

Kiss #1

Movie: Guys and Dolls

Characters: Sky Masterson (Marlon Brando) & Seargent Sarah Brown (Jean Simmons)

Situation: Sky tricks Sarah into coming to Havana for the evening to win a bet. A missionary by trade, Sarah mistakenly thinks the “Cuban Punch” she’s drinking is non-alcoholic. Soon after, they kiss and bells ring. The trip keeps Sarah away from the mission long enough for Sky’s cronies to hold an illegal craps game there, from which we all know the famous Frank Sinatra song “Luck, Be a Lady.”

Movie: Godfather Part II

Characters: Michael Corleone (Al Pacino ) & Fredo Corleone (John Cazale)

Situation: At a New Year’s celebration in Havana, just before the revolution, Michael confronts Fredo, who is drunk on banana daiquiris, about his role in a plot to have Michael and his family murdered. “I know it was you, Fredo. You broke my heart. You broke my heart.”

Kiss #3

Movie: Dirty Dancing, Havana Nights

Situation: Just as in the classic film this remake is modeled after, the uppity good girl falls in love with the “lower class” bad boy as he teaches her to dance.
